We are a non
governmental organizations working for the
poorest of the poor of the society such as
scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, dalits,
women, landless laborers and bonded
laborers. Their problems are mainly economic
and related to agriculture as they are
mostly depending on land-based activities.
They are exploited maximum in this sector.
We focus our attention on the agriculture
sector to improve the condition of these
people.
Nearly 80% of the population is living in
the rural areas and are mostly depending for
their livelihood on the agriculture and
animal husbandry, which are intrinsically
linked with environmental management, which
is crucial issue at present. They can hardly
meet their actual cost of living, which
amounts to three quarters of alack per year.

Specific attention to the homeless chronically mentally ill in our country is scarce and inadequate. Networks of attention resources for the homeless already limited, often find themselves overloaded and overwhelmed due to the psychiatric and psychosocial problems of the severely and chronically mentally ill. Given their situation and condition of severe social exclusion, many of the homeless mentally ill do not regularly use or take full advantage of mental health services – and the situation is much more serious among those living rough in the streets who face severe poverty, social isolation, rootless ness, breakdown of social and family bonds, personal determination and lack of place ( a home) to cover needs of accommodation and social support.

The most effective instrument for a culture of love on earth is a living community of love. Marian Divya Karunya Snehasramam Trust is a voluntary organisation working for the rehabilitation of mentally and abandoned sections of the society. Now it is situated at Kidangoor Panchayat of Kottayam District, Kerala State of South India.
At present there are altogether 120 mentally retarded and abandoned men, women and children who are being looked after by various volunteers and well wishers.
Now this centre is locating in a small piece of land donated by well wishers. This land is insufficient for accommodating and causing out various other activities like training, medical facilities and accommodation. This organization is still trying to acquire more land and amenities for accommodating further increased strength of these abandoned people.
Once some of these people may have improved mentally, we will be trying our best to give them training in such a way according to their abilities so that they may lead a normal life and get job opportunities in the society.
We are also providing them with free messing, clothing and medical facilities with our limited resources.
